About

The Asie du Sud Est Research Network (ASERN) is an Australian-based group of international scholars of Southeast Asian literature and film in French.

The aim of ASERN is to create a space for dialogue, provide mentoring and support, and foster individual and collaborative research projects within the field. The group meets regularly at conferences and symposia and hosts a Work-in-Progress series.

Members hold editorial positions for a number of journals and presses, including Contemporary French and Francophone Studies, Liverpool University Press (Francophone Postcolonial Studies series), and Texas Tech University Press (Diasporic Vietnamese Artists Network series, DVAN/TTUP).
